The second call for proposals of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Policy Support Programme opens on 29 April 2008 and will close on 9 September 2008.
This proposal complements actions launched in 2007 and the themes support the EU policy in the fields of eGovernment, eInclusion and eHealth. More specifically, the following objectives are addressed:
o Preparing the implementation of the Services Directive;
o Reducing administrative burdens;
o Making emergency services accessible to all;
o ICT for ageing well;
o Capacity building for eInclusion;
o Improving the certification of eHealth products.
For the first four objectives above, Pilot projects will be supported in order to help define common and interoperable approaches for the proposed solutions, to prepare the diffusion of best practices, to assess their added-value and identify the hurdles for wider deployment.
For the other objectives, thematic networks will be supported bringing together the stakeholders in order to share experience, build consensus and prepare implementation agendas
The evaluation of the proposals, assisted by independent experts, will take place in early October. Communication of selection results to proposers and start of negotiations are foreseen for November 2008. Key words: European Commission, Project, Emergency |
