The ROSATTE project (ROad Safety ATTributes exchange infrastructure in Europe) is organising a Requirements Workshop on 17th September 2008 in Paris.
The recently-launched website states the purpose of the ROSATTE project as being to establish “an efficient and quality-ensured data supply chain from public authorities to commercial map providers with regards to safety-related road content”.
The project, which is EU-funded and co-ordinated by ERTICO-ITS Europe, is in the process of elaborating user needs and system requirements. To consolidate these interim results, the project is holding the requirements workshop.
Any organisation interested in the project or digital maps in general is invited to attend. The feedback gathered at the workshop will “help to steer the direction of the development of an open exchange infrastructure to ensure European access to road safety attributes and allow incremental map updates”.
The new website, www.rosatte.eu, has further information as well as a forum, a news section and links to partner websites.
ITS Radar International will monitor the outcome
