The event will consider:
o European Union priorities in information and communication technologies (ICT) research, for which there is over €2 billion of funding available in 2009-2010
o The major current technological trends which impact upon strategic research planning
o Public research policies to stimulate research and innovation for growth and sustainable development
The event will be held over 25-27 November in Lyon.
Sessions at the event will include:
o Setting the ICT agenda for the next decade
o New computing and communication paradigms
o Climate change adaptation
Presentations will include the details of the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme for ICT research in 2009-2010, along with the European Commission’s other sources of research funding in ICT.
