The showcase will be held over 23 March to 26 March 2010 and will be held in Amsterdam. This event will be hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (V&W) and will be dedicated to cooperative systems.
“I&CDrive, connecting vehicles with Infrastructure” event will consist of a trade exhibition, an on-road demonstration, and a conference. The theme of the event will be “Cooperative mobility using next-generation car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure communication systems”.
Three main projects will be demonstrated during the event:
o CVIS – creating a technical platform for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications
o SAFESPOT - project aims to gain more insight into how intelligent vehicles and roads can work together to achieve a breakthrough in traffic safety
o COOPERS - developing a way to display dynamic traffic management information as variable message signs in the vehicles.
