This International Road Federation (IRF) event will be held in Geneva, Switzerland form 10 to 11 November 2008.
Themed – “Emissions and Pollution: addressing the challenge”, the conference will aim to examine ways to tackle emissions and pollution (noise, materials, water and air). Researchers, policy-makers and practitioners from both the public and the private sector will gather in Geneva to present and discuss inspiring solutions to address the environmental challenge today for a better world tomorrow.
The topics to be discussed include environmental traffic management, the environmental impact of dynamic speed limits, and the idea of using vehicle emissions categories to set road user charges.
